Pupil Premium

DfE Pupil Premium Award 2013-14.

It is always great to have good news and even better when received on the first day of a new term; A letter from the 'Minister of State for Schools' - David Laws.

As you will know, a school's performance is judged in many ways and one of the categories high on the education agenda at the moment is the attainment and achievement of pupils who qualify for Pupil Premium Funding (essentially Free School Meals). In many ways these set categories are irrelevant as we see all children as individuals with different strengths and learning needs and work hard to ensure all our pupils reach their fullest potential (as highlighted in the latest Performance Tables), but to receive an award for the attainment and progress of children in this category is fantastic. There are 24,372 Primary Schools in the UK and we were one of only 430 schools to receive an award of £1000 in 2014 in recognition of our achievement and one of only 3 Primary Schools in Oxfordshire.

Thank you all for your continued support. This is a joint journey and commitment to our children and as part of working in partnership it is good to celebrate successes. Well Done Everyone
